The company started work with the Home Office in September 1994 and assisted Consultants, Sema (SchlumbergerSema) in the transfer of a project from Westminster to Liverpool. ITG went on to conduct the subsequent Test Management for the re-engineering of a Human Resources System.

ITG developed a black box structured testing strategy for system functions and implemented this using the "V" model together with SQA's T-Plan for test planning, definition and execution monitoring. A pseudo sub-system of "interface" functions was added to define and manage Interface Testing.

The quality of testing was assured by earlier on-site training given to Home Office staff and by a formal "sign-off" for each test plan and test execution completed. Additionally, Compuware's QARun was used to regression test those stable sub systems with a valid automated test baseline (as developed and captured by ITG prior to leaving Westminster).

On conclusion of testing, Sema's development manager made the following comment regarding ITG's management effort "An excellent Test Team Manager ......a significant contribution to the success of our extremely tight development project."
