As part of ICL's development team, ITG provided a leading role in supporting Treasurer (Bernard Harty's) staff, at Oxfordshire County Council, to cover the very first implementation of ICL's Financial Information System. Subsequent package sales, together with supporting hardware were a significant success prompting a local paper to print the headline "Computer boffins spin Oxon gold".

ITG planned and beta tested ICL's Housing Management Information System at Islington, Salford and Doncaster. The Project Manager made the comment that this "was a major factor in reaching the General release stage for the early modules of HMIS".

Work was undertaken with Dr Maureen Roberts, in a later ICL project, to achieve the system design for Scottish Breast Cancer Screening. Analysis of the existing local screening system, Edinburgh University's Medical Statistics Unit and ICL's Central Health Index enabled ITG to structure a comprehensive definition level process model and entity diagram.

As a result, the designer was invited to St Andrews House to answer questions from the Governmental sub-committee for Breast Cancer in Scotland. These questions were answered to their satisfaction and funding was made available to complete the design specification. The completed specification was delivered by ITG to each Health Board in Scotland and after some amendment was approved by all.
