Yorkshire Electricity requested ITG to assess a proposed new Management Information System (Customer Billing) for good technical performance and design practice.

The evidence produced showed that many MIS reports could be efficiently satisfied provided the proposed Billing System was configured in a way to capture and report the required information. The assement was completed by the manual checking of remaining MIS function process paths and verified by their (non-concurrent) performance measurement.

ITG went on to develop the basis for YE Business Process Inteface Tests (Supplier related requirements) as laid down by OFFER (Office of Electricity Regulation) and specified by CIDA (Central Integrated Design Authority).

ITG liaised with YE's technical design authority to establish and define the required technical architecture to support CIDA business process interface testing. This enabled ITG to specify the approach to interface testing, direct YE Supply in the selection of suitable automated testing software and to deliver the subsequent training in the use of this software.
